Dakshina chitra is a living-history museum.This museum is built on 10 acres of land.The exhibits potray the living beliefs of art,folk performing-arts,crafts and architecture of India.The museum has 18 heritage houses representing the living style of ppl from the states of south India
There are lots of household items within the museum's collection.It is a typical tamil house re-created in the museum and an Agraharam from Tirunelveli assembled within the museum.The museum contains collection of books and journals.

I haven't really visited this place but I would like to because it seems very interesting and just the right place to show off chennai's rich culture and heritage. :D
