Hey there, lovely people.
Everyone who knows me will tell you that I am a bibliophile. I live for the pleasure of reading. But hey, I am also a college student. And what is a college student but a young adult with a big burnt hole in their pocket?
So after crowning myself the Grand Duchess of the kingdom of the Broke Bibliophiles, I decided to the Connemara Public Library in Egmore.
Unlike the usual libraries like the one in the American Consulate or the British Council, the Connemara library is more old school. With no or WiFi and being part of the Egmore museum the library has an eerie effect to it which is actually welcoming. The library is quite huge and has various floors dedicated to different genres of books. Of course, me being me, I scooted straight to the fiction section (that rhymes!).
The section was huge with an amalgam of books in various languages. They surprisingly had a good collection of books by relatively new writes in spite of the fact that this library is really old.
How ever, I couldn't borrow any books from this haven for bookworms as the membership process was complicated and involved a long and tedious procedure which I did not the time (or energy) to indulge myself in.
But I did stay there for an entire day and read a few precious books so it's all good, I guess?
I haven't really been there and you should take me there because it seems like just the place to get me back to my reading habit.
